I need to be able to play the intro to the tune and then ask them to guess artist or title. I know there is a way you can change your tunes to playing backwards with windows media player but i dont know what it is. Any help would be gratefully received. Thank you.

you can't do anything like that in windows media player
you can go and download Audacity [its free] to reverse the playback of a song

Why do you need them to be played backwards, why not just play them normally then stop after a few seconds, they'll not get the full song but will stand a chance to working out what it is.
